Cupping Masterclass: A series of educational videos for acupuncture practitioners, physicians, physical therapists and massage therapists (who have cupping in their scope of practice). Prerequisite: must know the locations and trajectories of acupuncture channels/meridians and the common acupuncture points.
Students review the course material, watch case study videos and take a short quiz. Students also have the option to attend a live Q&A with Erin and they will be given that date when they enrol.

Outline:
Understand the 4 main clinical reasons to use Myofascial Cupping Therapy (MCT).
Be clear about the different MCT approaches when dealing with acute and chronic injuries.
Learn that less is more with MCT. Treatments should be focused and have clear intention.
Understand the differences between using MCT on yang-vs-yin areas of the body.
Learn the MCT techniques with instruction-stationary, flash, running-and all associated safety concerns.
Understand different levels of suction- mild, medium, strong-and know in which cases to use them.
Know the precautions: pregnancy and postpartum, blood thinners, age.
Know the contraindications: DVT, surgical sites, lymph nodes, patients who blister.
Review cleaning and disinfecting cups
Learn to treat: acute pinched nerve (cervical), chronic neck pain (osteoarthritis), shoulder pain, acute lumbar pain, chronic lumbar pain, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow.
